Gold / Iron Ore: Hardey Junction JV

Northern Star Resources Ltd 80%, Cullen Resources Ltd 20% Free Carry

The Hardey Junction JV consists of a 160km2 tenement package located just 9km SW of Paulsens Gold Mine, prospective for gold and iron ore.

The tenements cover a 30km strike length of sedimentary rocks and mafic to intermediate volcanics of the Archaean / Proterozoic Wyloo Dome; located near the contact between the Hamersley and Ashburton Basins.

Exploration for gold mineralisation has defined a number of significant gold +/- silver geochemical anomalies striking up to 800m long with individual results ranging up to 1g/t Au and 38g/t Ag. Anomalous copper values <0.5% were also discovered. First-pass RC drilling along the Paddys Well fault zone returned gold intercepts including 2m @ 1.8g/t Au and 1m @ 2.3g/t Au; open along strike and down-dip. Further exploration is required along the largely underexplored Paddys Well Fault.

Iron-rich sedimentary horizons including the highly prospective Marra Mamba Formation strikes southeast through the northern part of the tenement package; showing lithological and structural characteristics potentially suitable for iron mineralisation. The recent AMCI joint venture with its objective of finding 500 million tonnes of iron ore in the Pilbara and their railway planned to pass near the Paulsens mine suggests any iron ore located on the tenements may have increased economic potential. Consequently, future exploration will focus on targeting iron-bearing horizons.
