Northern Star have a 20% free carried interest in the Mt Clement gold / base metal project which includes a JORC compliant Indicated Resource of 526,000t @ 2.4g/t for 40,600oz Au.

 

The JV consists of 3 granted Mining Licences (in which the gold resource is located) and 1 Exploration Licence, located only 30km from Northern Star’s operating Paulsens Gold Mine . No Native Title Claims exist and major environmental requirements have been addressed.

 

Two styles of mineralisation have been identified. The gold resource is contained in a flat-lying oxidised strata bound horizon within 50m of surface and mineralisation is open in all directions. The second style of mineralisation is a steeply dipping high grade gold - silver - copper zone discovered by Artemis in 2010 with RC drill intercepts including:

 

  •  6m @ 8.81g/t Au, 558g/t Ag, 2.37%Cu (ARMRC001, 106-112m. Includes 1m @1,210g/t Ag)
  • 13m @ 1.46g/t Au, 67g/t Ag, 0.24% Cu (ARMCR003, 92-105m)
  • 20m @ 7.32g/t Au, 395g/t Ag, 0.78% Cu (ARMCR007, 86-106m)

 

The mineralised zone is open at depth and along strike. Potential exists for further high grade zones.
