Principal Treasury and Risk

As the Principal Treasury and Risk, you will report to the General Manager – Finance, and will be responsible for managing the Group Treasury and Insurance functions within the Finance Department. Whilst also continually reviewing and improving policies, processes and procedures with a view to improve efficiency, control and cost management with the quality of insight.
Key responsibilities of your role will include:
Reviewing and forecasting of Group operating cash flows.
Management of liquidity across the international Group, including management of intercompany cash calls.
Maintenance of all Group bank accounts across the various banking platforms and responsible for transactional banking, including liaising with banking partners and interaction with the Group’s systems.
Management, review and reporting of currency exposures, including the recommendation and development of exposure management and hedging strategies.
Management, execution and reporting of hedge and spot sales, including interaction with logistics providers, site staff, banking and refining partners and others as required.
Maintenance and development of short- and long-term debt facilities as necessary.
Management of asset financing, bonding and surety needs.
Regular review and recommended updates, where applicable, to the Group’s Treasury Policy.
Responsible for the management of the Group insurance programme, including liaising with the Group’s insurance broker(s) and ensuring cover both appropriately meets the group’s needs and is cost effective; claims management; insurance renewal; management of information collation.
Contribution to the Board pack(s) for monthly reporting.
Preparation and presentation of ad hoc memos and reports as necessary or directed by CFO/GM Finance
What we are looking for:
Tertiary qualifications in Financial Management or Accounting and professional membership with either the CPA Australia (CPA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA).
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a relevant finance position.
Demonstrated experience of managing a Company’s insurance programme will be highly regarded.
Experience in strategic financial management, analysis & advice at a senior level, including the leadership & development of finance staff, business process & systems reforms, performance reporting & analysis, budgeting and financial policy development.
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and understanding of financial and management accounting and risk management frameworks.
Solid communication skills and interpersonal skills, including consultation, negotiation and influencing skills.
Good level of computer literacy – Microsoft Office. Previous experience working with Pronto will be considered an advantage.
Current WA ‘C’ Class drivers’ licence.
